What We Delivered at ALDI, Cumnock
Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd was appointed as principal contractor for the design and construction of a new ALDI supermarket in Cumnock, East Ayrshire.
The project was delivered on a brownfield site and included full site clearance, extensive ground remediation, and enabling works. The steel-framed building was completed with ALDI’s standard internal and external finishes, including mechanical and electrical installations, refrigeration, and store fittings.
External works comprised a 114-space car park, service yard, boundary fencing, landscaping and highway improvements including a new signalised junction. The project was delivered in line with ALDI’s strict programme and specification standards.
Works Included:
- Full site clearance and ground remediation
- Construction of new steel-frame ALDI store
- Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration installation
- External envelope, cladding and glazing to ALDI spec
- Formation of service yard and boundary fencing
- Construction of 114-space car park
