Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd was appointed to carry out a series of improvements to the A65 Burton Road in Kendal, aimed at enhancing safety, sustainability, and long-term road performance.
The works included reconstruction and resurfacing of the existing carriageway, footway and verge repairs, installation of new kerbing and drainage infrastructure, and the formation of a new shared-use cycleway. This important active travel addition supports safer cycling and walking routes through the town and encourages sustainable transport choices.
Delivered in phases with traffic management in place, the project was completed safely and with minimal disruption to the public.
