Spring Close, Threlkeld
Affordable Housing Scheme in the Lake District
Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd completed the construction of seven affordable rented homes at Spring Close, Threlkeld for Eden Housing Association. Built on a greenfield site at the foot of Blencathra, this development lies within the Lake District National Park.
The scheme comprised a mix of two-storey homes, including 2 three-bedroom houses, 4 two-bedroom houses, and 1 one-bedroom house. Constructed in traditional masonry with rendered elevations, slate roofs, mock dormers and chimneys, and feature stone porches, the homes were designed to reflect the local rural character. Each property has a rear garden, front parking, and is surrounded by grass-seeded open space to enhance the setting.
