What We Delivered at Sprint Bridge, Kendal

Thomas Armstrong (Construction) Ltd was appointed to carry out the demolition and replacement of Sprint Bridge, a rural river crossing near Kendal.

The project involved the removal of the existing single-span masonry arch bridge and construction of a new two-piece precast concrete bridge over the River Sprint. The works included extensive temporary works, installation of precast abutments, and associated highway and drainage improvements.

All works were carried out within a restricted site with environmental sensitivities, requiring close coordination with environmental agencies and careful programming to avoid disruption to the watercourse and surrounding habitats.
